69 year old weight loss patient who lost 50 pounds.  Unfortunately she had been suffering from chronic irritation in the skin fold of the lower abdominal region, which caused repeated open wounds that led to constant pain and infections. Over time her symptoms worsened. She underwent a panniculectomy and is shown six weeks after her procedure; all her symptoms have resolved and she is happy with her outcome. Over time, the scar will fade and flatten out.
