71 year old that for over 15 years has had a lesion on his nose that would heal and open repeatedly.  He self treated himself, eventually his primary care doctor was able to convince him to see us.  A biopsy was done that showed a basal cell cancer. In conjunction with a dermatologist, a special procedure (mohs surgery) was used to ensure that the cancer was removed.  We then used a piece of cartilage from his ear and a multi staged procedure (forehead flap) ,where  tissue was taken from his forehead to recreate the loss of skin/ fat of the nose.  He is shown 10 weeks after returning the skin from his forehead back to where it came from. Over time the scarring will fade and the swelling will decrease.
